INDIA – The biggest stage in Indian mobile esports just got bigger! The BMSD 2025 Grand Finals officially commence today, October 10th, and the opening match will make history: it will be the first-ever competitive match played on the colossal new Rondo map in an official BGMI tournament!
Sixteen elite teams—India’s best—have battled through the Semi-Finals and Survival Stage to reach this three-day showdown, which determines the champion who will claim the massive prize pool and earn a direct slot in the prestigious PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2025.

Rondo: The New Battleground
Rondo replaces Sahnok in the competitive map pool and introduces a host of tactical variables never before tested by top Indian teams. It is the largest map in the competitive lineup (an 8×8 km scale), blending traditional Asian aesthetics with modern urban high-rises and industrial areas.
Key Rondo Data:
- Size: 8×8 km (Largest competitive map).
- Terrain: Features a unique blend of urban areas (Jadena City, NEOX Factory) and natural landscapes (dense bamboo forests, waterfalls, high cliffs).
- New Mechanics: Teams must adapt to never-before-seen features like escalators for fast vertical movement and the newly introduced JS9 SMG (perfect for Rondo’s tight, ambush-heavy urban zones).
The move to Rondo is a direct challenge to the IGLs, testing who can adapt quickest to new rotations, drop conflicts, and late-game verticality.

The Global Stakes: India’s Path to BMIC
The competition is fierce not just for the championship title, but for global recognition.
The Grand Finals feature the 16 top Indian teams. Crucially, the top 8 teams emerging from the BMSD 2025 Grand Finals will gain qualification for the upcoming BGMI International Cup (BMIC) 2025.
At BMIC, these Indian squads will clash with four top teams from Japan and four top teams from South Korea. This tournament provides the next critical stepping stone for Indian esports to prove its dominance on the global stage.
The Grand Finals will unfold over three days with 18 matches, 6 played each day. Day 1 opens with Rondo, followed by a rotation across Erangel and Miramar. The action starts today, live on the official KRAFTON India Esports YouTube channel.
