INDIA – The BMSD 2025 Semi-Finals delivered the required dose of drama both in-game and off-stream, following intense late-stage skirmishes between K9 Esports (led by Omega) and Vasista Esports (led by Hector). Given the publicly known history between Omega and Hector—who were previously teammates in the same organization—speculation ran wild that K9 was actively targeting Team VE in the final, high-stakes matches.
However, both Omega and his star teammate, NinjaBoi, quickly used their post-match live streams to address and debunk the fan theories surrounding the alleged personal rivalry that had spilled onto the battleground.

Omega: “We Play Our Game, Not Theirs”
IGL Omega directly tackled the claims, clarifying the mindset of a professional team in critical rotations. He dismissed the idea that K9 would risk their qualification to settle a personal score, noting that fans often see the drama that players intentionally filter out.
“Those things you guys [viewers] can see, but we don’t,” Omega stated firmly. He explained that competitive decisions are based purely on survival and tactical advantage. “We play our game, and if the back is clear, and a team is near, and we can attack, we do. We don’t know which team is passing by mid-rotation.”
Omega’s point underscores the split-second nature of high-level BGMI play: engaging a vulnerable team is standard protocol, regardless of history.
NinjaBoi Calls Targeting ‘Impossible’
Adding weight to Omega’s defense was NinjaBoi, K9 Esports’ MVP contender, who provided clarity from a mechanical perspective. The star fragger clarified that the concept of ‘targeting’ during chaotic map rotations is often logistically impossible.
“How can someone target any team mid-rotation? It is impossible, and this thing is baseless,” NinjaBoi asserted.
His statement emphasizes that in the closing moments of a match, the zone and enemy position dictate combat, not pre-planned rivalries. For a team like K9, which had its own direct qualification to secure, focusing energy on a single rival would have been a massive competitive risk.
The rivalry between Omega and Hector remains one of BGMI’s most famous subplots, but both K9 leaders insist that professional play remains strictly objective. With K9 successfully securing direct qualification, they proved their strategy was focused purely on points, not personal vendettas.
